Description

Gilgit the capital of northern areas of Pakistan is a thriving frontier town that has expanded rapidly to include about 30000 inhabitants since the KKH was opened in 1978. It sits in a wide irrigated bowl 1500mts (500 feet) above sea level at the eastern end of the Gilgit valley. The snow-covered pinnacle Domani, 6134mts (2012 feet) and part of the Rakaposhi range stand guard at the eastern end of town, while a semi-circle of barren peaks around 4500mts (13500 feet) high encloses the valley on the other three sides.

Itinerary

Day 1	Receive from Islamabad airport and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2	Departure for Besham short stay en-route arrival at Besham. Over night stay at Besham.
Day 3	Departure for Gilgit, sight seeing en-route arrival at Gilgit. Over night stay at Gilgit.
Day 4	Departure for Gulmit, sight seeing and transfer to the hotel. Over night stay at Gulmit.
Day 5	Full day excursion to Gulmit glacier and Ondra fort. Over night stay at Gulmit.
Day 6	Departure for Naltar via Gilgit. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Over night stay at Naltar.
Day 7	Day visit to explore Naltar valley. Over night stay at Naltar.
Day 8	Departure for chilas short stay at Gilgit for shopping. Arrival at chilas and transfer to the hotel. Over night stay at chilas.
Day 9	Departure for Islamabad short stay en-route visiting taxila museum. Arrival at Islamabad.
Day 10	Transfer to the airport for Destination flight.
